Still Life (online)

Service Description

Creating still life can be a fascinating insight into our responses to the everyday objects we use, look at, love or dislike and sometimes discover. They become the things which define us, a diary that, in its own way, becomes the story of our life.  In this workshops we will be drawing and painting from observation and/or towards imagination. In response to the ordinary (and not so ordinary) we will develop broader and deeper ways of looking and seeing. We approach these still life sessions with a sense of play. A place where we can experiment freely without pressure or expectation, with enjoyment and fun.  The workshop sessions will include the fundamentals of drawing (eg angles, perspective and tonal work) through fun exercises to a more considered approach. We will explore colour; how to use it, mix it, develop a personal palette and how to apply, making the marks we desire to express our observations.
